Does Wonders but Tricky to Clean

I have been loving this blender since we bought it. Looks very handsome on the countertop and its shape makes it easy to store as well. Very powerful and stable, and the pre-set functions work well. Tried making smoothies and dips and sauces and all I have to do is toss everything in and push some buttons. Sometimes the basil gets stuck in the blades, so I wish they provided a long tool I can poke from the top to untangle these without having to remove the cover. Also wish it were easier to clean. I have to be very careful that I don’t get the bottom of the jar dirty (since it can’t get wet), and I also have to make sure perspiration from cold concoctions don’t drip towards the base as that can’t get wet either. It’s sort of heavy so cleaning it becomes a task. Would appreciate hacks on how I can do this better and safer. Thank you!
